Emerge

This wonderful photographer came to visit my old housemate many years ago. We were living in a house across the train tracks just outside the centre of Utrecht. Trawling through the house, looking for inspiration, she asked if she could take pictures of me. So we went upstairs and the setting fell together without much conscious thought. I sat down and a calm, serious, grounded sensation came over me. Looking at the photos, the represent something of woman-hood and an earthly nature. The photographer, Caterana Tonnē Fleur, called this series of photos “Emerge”.
